Kara Lee Cunningham

I see life as a series of photos. I love being able to capture that. Events are where the big things in life happen. I always get really excited about weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. I’m able to capture those special moments because I enjoy them so much. I love being able to share these moments with people.

I’ve always liked taking pictures and having photos around. Throughout high school I was always taking pictures of my friends. In San Francisco, I met a friend who inspired me to take an introductory photography class in college where I learned a lot about the history of photography. After that, my Aunt Yvonne gave me an old Minolta 35mm. I started exploring the world with film; it’s still my favorite camera to use.

Besides photography, I spend a lot of time listening to music, old and new. I enjoy going to live shows around town and spending time with my little sisters and brothers.
